It’s cold and flu season: reduce the risk

Dear clients and families,

It’s cold and flu season.

Please help to reduce the transmission of the flu and other respiratory illness by practicing the following measures:
  • Clean your hands regularly with soap and water or at least 70 per cent alcohol-based hand rub
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Cough and sneeze into a tissue and dispose immediately then clean your hands. If no tissue is available, cough or sneeze into your sleeve, not your hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are ill; stay at least 2 meters (6 feet) away
Please do not come into the centre if you have a fever. If you have a cough and/or difficulty breathing, please consider staying home. In case of either fever or cough/breathing difficulty, you can reschedule your appointment by calling 416-924-1164.

For more information on respiratory illnesses of concern at this time, please see the Toronto Public Health web pages on the Novel Coronavirus and the Flu. If you have any concerns please contact your health-care provider, or call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 for free confidential medical advice from a registered nurse.
