Dr. Marshall Korenblum, Medical Director


Leadership-team-10-20182-c.jpgDr. Marshall Korenblum, Medical Director, has been a practising child/adolescent psychiatrist for over 38 years. His clinical and research interests focus on the intersection of mood and personality disorder in adolescence, and he has completed training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. A staff of the founding organization of SickKids CCMH, Hincks- Dellcrest Centre. Marshall is an Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto; Consultant, Division of Youth Psychiatry, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre; and Consultant, Jewish Family and Child Service, Toronto.

For over 10 years, Marshall was the Director of Postgraduate Education for the Division of Child Psychiatry, University of Toronto, and for two years, he was Chair of the Education Committee of the Canadian Academy of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. In 2017, he was the winner of the Mary Seeman Award for Clinical Excellence, which is awarded by the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto, to the clinician who best embodies the qualities of outstanding clinical performance.


In 2017-18, he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Sydney and University of Melbourne, Australia, and Consultant to the World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland.

Marshall is a passionate believer in public education and outreach, and has consulted to numerous public and private schools over the years. He has been featured in several instructional videos concerning children’s mental health, and is frequently contacted by the media for knowledge translation in the area of children's mental health.
